Acting President Yemi Osinbajo said DSS blockade of NASS not authorised

The barricade of the National Assembly gates by operatives of the DSS was unauthorized and slammed it as a gross violation of the constitutional order, rule of law and all accepted notions of law and order, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo said.

He went further to say that the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

A statement issued by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Acting President, said that the action of the DSS was not authorized by the presidency.

By this statement, Professor Osinbajo is consequently assuring Nigerians that all persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.

Osinbajo sacked Lawal Daura, immediately after summoning him and asked him to hand over to the most senior person in the organization.
