Donald Trump on Monday showed his displeasure with the restaurant, which denied his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, service over the weekend.T
In his customary fashion on Twitter, Trump ranted and called the eatery in Lexington, Virginia, “dirty.”
He wrote: ‘I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!
He added the establishment “should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders.”
But not everyone agreed. Actually, most people thought Red Hen management were heroes for ordering Mrs Huckabee Sanders to leave, reports Metro UK.
The restaurant’s co-owner Stephanie Wilkinson revealed her reasons for throwing out, Trump’s Press Secretary included the concerns of gay employees, who were unhappy Sanders had defended Trump’s desire to bar transgender people from the military. “Tell me what you want me to do. I can ask her to leave,” Ms Wilkinson told her staff, according to the Washington Post.
After they told her yes, she calmly asked Mrs Huckabee Sanders to exit the premises, which she did without any incident.
Since the incident, the restaurant’s website has been flooded with five-star reviews.
But Trump, Huckabee Sanders and GOP supporters are still seething at what they see as intolerance from the restaurant.
